White Wine Garlic Butter Bucatini

Ingredients
- 1/2 lb bucatini pasta, cooked
- 1/2 C butter
- 1 C sweet onion, diced
- 2 T garlic, minced
- 1 t Italian seasoning
- 1/2 C white wine
- 1 1/2 C heavy cream
- 1/4 C pasta water
- 1 C Parmigiano cheese, grated
- 1 T parsley
- red pepper flakes, to taste
Instructions
- Clarify the onions in 1 T oil and the butter, then add the garlic and continue until fragrant. Add the Italian seasoning and season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Add in the white wine and simmer to remove the alcohol, then add the cream, bring to a high simmer, reduce to a low simmer, then add the pasta water. Continue simmering until the sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat, then add the cheese, parsley and red pepper flakes. Mix in the pasta and let rest so that the sauce will stick to the pasta.
